Carl Niemiec Obituary

Niemiec, Carl Our loving husband & father, Carl Joseph Niemiec, age 82, of Delafield passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 55 years, Mary Joan Niemiec. He is survived by his children: Carl (JoAnn), Cathy (Todd) Vance, Sherry (Kevin) Powell, John (Lynn), Chris (Kristin), his child in heart Doug (Shannon) Pallo & his brothers from another mother: Jim Schmidt, Bob Schmidt, Bob Peterson & Jim Styles, 12 grandchildren: Kimberly & Lauren Niemiec, Rebecca (Darrel) Lijewski & Mitchell Vance, Natalie (Matt) & Trent Powell, Anthony & Jeremy Niemiec & Andrew, Brandon, Carson & David Niemiec. Carl will be missed by many dear friends. Carl graduated high school from St Francis Seminary. He received his undergraduate & masters degree from Marquette University. He went on to get his Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Carl was a Professor of Psychology at Marquette for 9 years & then went on to open a private practice where he helped, touched & saved many minds & souls for 38 years. He was a pioneer in biofeedback & a founding member of the Biofeedback Society of Wisconsin. Carl & Mary Joan were inseparable & truly enjoyed life together. He was a devoted father who loved camping, fishing, hunting & Marquette basketball games. Some of his favorite times were spent with his grandchildren. He was a deep thinker, a philosopher of words, loved telling jokes & an avid poet. His legacy will live on in the hearts, minds & lives of everyone he interacted with. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert & Cecilia Niemiec, in-laws Anthony & Joan Clesceri & dear friend Jerry Jung. Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 6:00pm at St Joan of Arch, 120 Nashotah Rd, Nashotah. The family will greet friends at church 3:30pm until the time of mass. Private burial for family will take place on Wednesday.
