Our loving husband and father, Carl Joseph Niemiec, age 82, of Delafield passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 55 years, Mary Joan Niemiec. He is survived by his children, Carl (JoAnn), Cathy (Todd) Vance, Sherry (Kevin) Powell, John (Lynn), Chris (Kristin), his child in heart Doug (Shannon) Pallo and his brothers from another mother: Jim Schmidt, Bob Schmidt, Bob Peterson and Jim Styles,  12 grandchildren: Kimberly and Lauren Niemiec, Rebecca (Darrel) Lijewski and Mitchell Vance, Natalie (Matt) and Trent Powell, Anthony and Jeremy Niemiec and Andrew, Brandon, Carson and David Niemiec. Carl will be missed by many dear friends.

Carl graduated from high school from St Francis Seminary. He received his undergraduate and Masters degrees from Marquette University. He went on to get his Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Carl was a Professor of Psychology at Marquette University for 9 years and then went on to open a private practice where he helped, touched and saved many minds and souls for 38 years. He was a pioneer in biofeedback and a founding member of the Biofeedback Society of Wisconsin.

Carl and Mary Joan were inseparable and truly enjoyed life together. He was a devoted father who loved camping, fishing, hunting and Marquette basketball games. Some of his favorite times were spent with his grandchildren. He was a deep thinker, a philosopher of words, loved telling jokes and an avid poet. His legacy will live on in the hearts, minds and lives of everyone he interacted with.
