Carol S. Hamlin

Hamlin, Carol S. Age 78. Of Delavan, WI, formerly of Albany and Oneonta, NY and Mequon, WI, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, at her home after a courageous nine year battle with three different cancers. She was born November 27, 1932, in Albany, NY the daughter of Harrison J. and Mary (nee Keenan) Schermerhorn. She married James Hamlin July 18, 1959, in Albany, NY. Carol was a Registered Nurse in several VA Hospitals around the country, including the Zablocki VA Center in Milwaukee. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years James; her adored children Michael (Julie) Hamlin, Colleen (John) Hecimovich and Kimberly (Edward) Emberson; and precious grandchildren Kelsey and Austin Hamlin, James Hecimovich and Macie Emberson. She was preceded by her parents and one brother, William. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 14, 2011, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana, WI, with Father Daniel Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the VA Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass on Thursday at the Church.
