It is always sad when one hears of a relative/friend who passes.Uncle Chuck was my Godfather also. The last time I saw him and Aunt Rita was at my Dad's(his cousin Norbert Janssen) funeral in May 2013.One never tires of seeing family again. My Dad used to deliver groceries for him when he had his butcher shop on Lincoln Ave.
My sympathies to all and he is now in the company of our Lord and all of our relatives in Heaven.

Dear Rita

I just found out this morning about Chuck's passing. What a wonderful man he truly was - always loving and compassionate, and always will to go the extra mile for anyone and everyone. I will continue to keep you and the family in my prayers in the days and months ahead.

Uncle Chuck was the kindest man I ever knew. I could not ask for a better Godfather and role model. He taught us all what hard work and family was all about. I will always remember watching him and Uncle Joe carving the turkeys at Thanksgiving and he would always give me a taste. He will be very missed not only by us in the family but every life he touched. My prayers go out to you, Auntie Rita along with my cousins Chuck, Greg, Mike, Brian and David and all their families.

Uncle Chuck, Thank you for always being there for my parents whether it be working the full shift at Pabst and then coming to help out at the store for another four or five hours always with a smile on your face and a warm greeting to all. For always being there for anybody who needed it. And for always showing us the importance of integrity, work ethic and family. Thanks to you and all the Dufek uncles and aunts for all the hard work that you all did for our yearly Thanksgiving dinner making sure that we all know that anyone that was alone and needed a temporary family and some good food was always welcome. We all have very big shoes to fill . You will be missed but never forgotten.

Uncle Chuck will always hold a special place in my heart. His family was always there for our family especially during inventory time at my parents store! Uncle Chuck and Aunt Rita where there even before we got out of bed! He taught me what it meant about family helping family! My Mom, Pat Frinzi, I'm sure, had her spaghetti dinner ready for him when he entered heaven and had all his brithers, Jerry, Marvin, Bob and Grandma and Grandpa at the table rejoicing in his presence!
God bless you Uncle Chuck ! You will be missed!

Uncle Chuck was the epitome of a gentleman. He was unfailingly kind, humble, and generous. I will always remember those cold Sundays in January when their entire family would help with inventory, and our mother would make a delicious spaghetti dinner after the inventory was finished. Such great family memories. Such a terrific man. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Uncle Chuck is now happily reunited again with his parents Charles and Leona and his brothers Jerry, Bob, and Marvin, and our mother, Pat, for all eternity.

It was such a privilege to know Chuck. He set the tone for such a strong family, through generations. I am grateful to have been with him and his whole family. I celebrate his life and I pray for Rita and everyone in the family.

My dear Uncle Chuck, godfather, birthday buddy, and most generous gardener, I will always remember the birthdays we celebrated together at Grandma's when I was a kid. How are the tomatoes and squash growing now? Have you planted any new varieties? Always enjoyed visiting you in your garden. Auntie Rita and cousins, sorry the miles keep us apart now, but you are in my thoughts. love Patti (picture from my baptism)
