Galian, Charles V. "Chuck" Passed away peacefully May 4, 2018 at the age of 72 years after a brief, courageous battle with cancer & Parkinson's disease. He leaves behind Polly, his devoted wife of 51 years, beloved children Chuck (Wendy) Galian & Noel (Todd) Ringe, his cherished granddaughter Samantha Galian, loving sister Sandra Greuel, sister-in-law Joanne Colasacco, brother & sister in-law Gene & Linda Korpi, Uncle Joseph Galian Jr., Aunts Pearl Blanchette, Daphne Hope & June Richer, special UK cousins Gerald & Julie Hope, dear friends Fred & Pat Petran, Steve & Julie Gabor, Pastor Martin & Karen Schulz, Gary & Joan Ringe, Michael & Jackie Hillman and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Constance Galian, father & mother-in-law Eugene & Evelyn Korpi & brother-in-law Dan Colasacco. Chuck was "made in England" but born in the USA. His Mum met his Dad, a US Army Airman, at a USO dance in London during WWII. After they married, Chuck's Mum immigrated from Battersea to Milwaukee while pregnant with him. A graduate of Pulaski High School and lifelong Milwaukee resident, Chuck was called into service by the US Army in 1965. He bravely served in Vietnam from September 1966-September 1967. A few weeks before leaving for war, he married Polly, the love of his life on August 20, 1966. They were true soulmates who remained very much in love for over 1/2 of a century. He attended trade school to learn computer programming in 1968 & remained in the IT field until his retirement in 2015. Chuck took great pride in his work & spent the last 20+ years of his career sharing his brilliance & relentless work ethic with his friends & colleagues at Case New Holland in Racine. Chuck was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan who was known for his mastery of cooking on the grill, sausage making, love of Fender guitars, vintage cars and enjoyment of a cold beer. The highlight of his life, however, was becoming a Grandpa. He cherished his Manthie & loved nothing more than being her Grampie. His family would like to thank Dr. Frederico Sanchez and his staff. Also Dr. Taylor Finseth, Dr. Peter Leonovicz, Dr. Laura Duncan, Dr. Junaid M. Farooq, Dr. John Brusky, the entire staff of 12T at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital, especially the genuine compassion and care given by RN Katie G. and everyone at The Aurora Zilber Family Hospice. Chuck's spiritual needs and guidance were met by Pastors David Kuehl, Martin Schulz & Herbert Lichtenberg. If desired, donations can be made in Chuck's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Muskego, The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation or WI Parkinson's Association. The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Visitation Monday, May 14 at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH (S66W14325 Janesville Rd, Muskego) from 2:00 - 4:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM. Inurnment Tuesday, May 15 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. "For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory." Psalm 149:4
