Chris John Schmidt

Schmidt, Chris John Age 89, of Kohler, WI and University Park, FL, died November 13, 2010 at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Florida. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Sat., Nov. 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Avenue, Sheboygan. A reception will follow the service at Pine Hills Country Club. On November 19, 1949, he married LaVerne M. Thiele. LaVerne Schmidt preceded him in death on March 2, 1990. Chris is survived by his wife, Audrey, and children Denise Land-kamer of Madison, Craig (Glenda) Schmidt of Berlin, Randy and Kathy (Conole) Schmidt of Wauke-sha and Kristine Howley in Milwaukee. He is also survived by his step-children Connie (Michael) McNamara of Philadelphia, Hal (Cindy) Korman of Rosco, IL and David (Kate) Korman of Seattle, WA. He is further survived by his grandchildren Sarabecca Land-kamer (New Orleans, LA), Jessica Landkamer (Atlanta, GA), Michael (Kyla) Schmidt (Fort Atkinson), Kristin Schmidt (Waukesha), Kaylyn Howley (Milwaukee) and step-grandchildren Michael, Matthew, William, Danie and Kelly, nieces and his special nephew, John Dietz, Jr. Memorials may be made in Chris' name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, WI, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Sarasota FL, and Concordia University, Mequon, WI. Thank you, God, for giving us Chris Schmidt to help us in this life. Please keep him safe until we all meet again.
