Claude grew up in France, served in WWII in 1945 then relocated to Milwaukee to attend Dental School at Marquette University (1954). Claude practiced Dentistry until 2000. To Dr. Carpenter's Family--
My husband and I will miss his very funny "dental humor." Dr. Carpenter knew how scared I was of the dentist, and he was very kind to me every time I had to make this terrible journey to the chair. I would also like to note that I have seen four dentists since Dr. Carpenter retired and each one has commented on his work as excellent and some of the best dental work they had ever seen-- one sited it as "dental genius." His work in dentistry was still no match for his huge heart, as he would tell of the terrible suffering in Haiti, when he would go to help people there every year. He will be missed and my husband and I are better for knowing him-- and in much less pain, I might add. Our prayers go out to his family and we sincerely thank them for "loaning him out" to so many others, even when I am sure he could have retired earlier.
