My deepest sympathy to the Lipski family.
I felt safer, when Chief Lipski was in command at a fire. The citizens of Milwaukee owes this man a tip of the hat and a great big 'thankyou Dan" for a job well done.
May our Lord hold him in the palms of his hands for all eternity.

Dan was a wonderful human being. He was very instrumental in the safety of all the workers in the under ground deep tunnel project. I worked with Dan, side by side couldn't find a better man. Please accept our prayers and wishes for peace now that Dan is with Jesus.

Our deepest sympathy to the Lipski family. He will always be remembered as a great person. For all of his dedication and the innovations he brought to the job, I will always remember him for how well he treated his people. He was an inspiration to everyone that ever put on that uniform.

Our deepest sympathy to Dusty and all the family. He personified the very best of the Greatest Generation and was a real-life hero. Always humble and caring about others. Quite a role model. Our family was privileged to live next door years ago and remained friends, now with Jesus and my parents. The Chenoweth family

It was truely a privilege for me to know Mr. Lipski for the past few years. I always enjoyed my visits with him and always left with a good feeling because he was such a "good man". The community lost a special person who cared so much about our safety that he did something about it. My prayers good out to his family

To Neil and family, I never had the privilege of meeting your father, but what an honor it would have been. From the stories you have told, what a true hero you had as a father and mentor. My condolences to your entire family.

"Dad" was an amazing man, and a blessing beyond words to have had in my life. He was not just my father-in-law, but an irreplaceable grandfather to our children, a devoted and exemplary husband and father, a friend and mentor, a "true compass". You will be truely missed Dad, but your legacy will live on.

I am sorry for your loss.
One word summed up Dan Lipski, "always." Always common sense, always dependable, always encouraged his people to be more. When you heard over the station's loudspeakers, "Chief is in quarters," and it was Dan, you knew a good man was in charge that day. Sometimes we'd wonder why he made us do this or that but time would tell that his good judgment preceded our doubts. I won't forget him.
