We miss Daz so much but this year we celebrated him 50th birthday. Shame he isn't with us to mark it. But we sent good wishes across the skies from friends, relatives.

Just learned that my old best mate from school days is no longer with us. What a shock...I found out by accident when I read Strephen Woods comments on an old Lindens Middle School photo where he said "...the late Darran Lyons"

I met Daz in 1969 at Hundred Acre and we remained friends all throughout school.

After school Darran went off around the world with Disney on Ice and I only saw him a few times after that.

I was so delighted that his life was going great and that he was making lots of money with his business ventures.

Daz I will see you in the afterlife and we can reminisce the old times.

Rest In Peace old friend.

Dear Chad:
I just spoke with Nancy Edwards and asked about you both, my heart just sank at the news. There are no words to express my deepest sympathy for you.
Darran was just a shining star, and you were lucky to have found each other.
Most Sincerely,
Liz Curro

Chad, I have been searching and searching for words to say but the right one I can not find to express my deep sorrow that I feel in my heart and I know you feel too. It seems like yesterday that Darron and I were at Addison and then Frisco. He would teasing me about my funky hair-dos, before we got on the ice. Once on the ice it was all work. I can still hear Darran yell-"Push,Push,Chel" (I would try with all my might of 100 lbs. and 5'height) "that was great-you are a strong and good skater". We were more than a coach and a student. We were friends. I was 14 when we parted and I thought that was a sad day but it can not compare to last few days. Jesus can to my door, knocked and I let him in. We talked for awhile and then he told me that he was going to your house. I know Darran is smiling telling everyone just what to do.
So, keep smiling and I will too.
Thanks, for sharing Darran with me.

Chad, I am still at a loss for words. Know how loved you are and what a difference you and Darran made in the lives of many. See the silver linings and remain strong knowing you are embraced with the love of all of you and Darran's friends (and there are many). I love you my dear friend.

I toured with Daz for over 3 years (Mickey's Diamond Jubilee). He was truly an amazing person. He could light up a room with his charm, grace, humor and looks. He was such a loving and caring friend and will be deeply missed.

Darran, You were such an amazing, shining light in my life; I will miss you forever. You were an angel. Whenever you were in the room you made everyone smile, laugh, and enjoy whatever they were doing so much more. My days are much quieter without our many conversations & chuckles; this will take a lot of time to come to terms with. I think of you constantly and hope you can see us and feel the love we all have for you. You were one of a kind and we were all blessed to have had the opportunity to know you. I will never forget you. "Love you lots!"

Dear Chad:
You have lost a very special person in your life, and I feel very sad that Darran has been taken from us. I have talked to Darran many times in the past twenty years, and he always brought happiness into my life. He was my PRINCE and I was his PRINCESS JULES. I loved him dearly and I feel very sad that he has left us. I know he will be happy with his Mom in Heaven. Chad, I will pray that the Good Lord will get you through this terrible time in your life.

Love,
Julia Bauer

Daz,
I miss you soo much, you were like a second father to me, I could tell you anything and know that no matter what you would lead me in the right direction. All I want is to hear your voice one last time and tell you how much I love you. You mean the world to me and it's hard for me to understand that you are no longer around in person but only in spirit. Well I will see you one day hopefully not too soon but save me a place on the ice in heaven, you owe me some dances. :) Love you forever, another one of your cheeky monkeys.

Daz,
I will miss you always and forever. I will never forget the Christmas Day you spent with us at mum and dad's ranch in Davie the first year you moved to Florida. You were so home sick and missing Chad tremendously. Your wicked laugh and fantastic smile will live on in all of us. Keep smiling and keep them all laughing up there, heaven will never be the same again, WATCH OUT here comes Darran!!!!!
Chad,
Thank you for being such a fantastic life partner to Daz. You made his world and I more than anyone knows how much he missed you when he was in Florida. He couldn't wait for the times you came to visit. Moving back to Texas with you made his life complete. Even though we lost a fantastic Ice Dancing coach it could never compare to the JOY that you brought to his life. You were his life and love. We will always cherish you for this.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Love Karen(Kaz) (Amanda's mum)
