I met David while I was working first patrol at Mayfair Mall for the public safety department. He was always forward, to the point, and professional, but always welcomed questions about what was going on from those of us that didnt always understand. I will miss him greatly..I will keep his family in my prayers.

Dave was a great prankster. I knew him from 2 Wheel Tuesday. I often have motorcycles for sale and Dave would call my house when I ran an ad in the paper pretending to be a buyer (I NEVER would recognize his voice!) He would pretend to be interested in the bike asking all the right questions but then he would ask how much I wanted and reply with something like "Are you nuts! That piece of junk it isn't worth THAT much!" And then go on about how I should have my head examined, etc.
It was only after the 3rd time I finally caught on and starting recognizing his voice. We always had a good laugh about it.
Another joke he pulled on my wife, Sue. Dave and Sue attended high school together and Dave scanned my wife's high school photo and made a "Wanted" poster with her photo on it and passed the posters out at 2 Wheel Tuesday.
Really funny stuff - both my wife and I are going to miss him greatly.

THe best male cousin I had. We had so much fun when we came to Milwuakee for visits. Dave, my brother Andy and I would always be together and we will always have the wonderful memories as children, then adults. He grew into a wonderful man, and the best policeman around, something he wanted to be his whole life.
He had a too short of life, but a very full life and lived it to the fullest doing exactly what he to do,,, good for him.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Breitlow Family. Loosing both dave and his father Otto' in such a short time. No matter how busy Dave was during his work day as a Wauwatosa Police Officer, he once told me, that , when ever a Milwaukee County Transit System Bus passed by him, his still always had a moment to see if I was the driver. Dave was one of the best, if not the best. Dave and I attended Wauwatosa West High Schol together, both in the same graduating class. Little did I realize, that when we saw each other at the 30 year class reunion, would be our last. We will all dealy miss Dave, but I guess his Father (GOD) needed him more. Dave didn't die, he has gone home. He has completed God's work here on earth, and has earned his ultimate reward

My condolences to Dave’s family and friends. Dave was a passionate owner of numerous vintage Trek bicycles. We met over the web after he visited the Vintage-Trek.com web site. We corresponded about his, and wife Lynn’s, bikes and Treks in general. He generously offered to send me a number of Trek catalogs that I had been seeking for years. He set the catalogs aside for me but died before he got them in the mail. Lynn graciously mailed the package a few days later. What wonderful people. A notice of his death is currently on the home page of the site and he is listed as a contributor to the site.

I met David when Dave and I joined the Northwest HOG Chapter and got to know him more when Dave became a road captain and would plan rides with David. They had a lot in common-both being police officers--same names--same style of hair cut :)We had some fun times! Our table at the meetings won't be the same without him. He'll surely be missed! He was a terrific friend!
