David Mittelsteadt Obituary

Mittelsteadt, David L., Sr. "Sarge" Age 71, formerly of Racine, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was born on June 27, 1940. David was a veteran of the United States Army, having proudly served his country from 1957 until his retirement in 1991, serving in Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. David was united in marriage to Ellen Bellgraph on May 31, 2002, in Allegan, MI. He was an avid fisherman and ran his own charter fishing service. David is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sons, David L. (Dawn) Mittelsteadt, Jr. and Terry (Cindy) Mittelsteadt; a daughter, Sandy Mittelsteadt; three brothers, Robert Mittelsteadt, Randy Cramer and Donald Rathkamp; several grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Burial will be on Friday, August 12, 2011, at 12 Noon in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
