Davis has been an inspiration to me. His dogged determination to complete any task he may had combined with his giant personality, outgoingness and the quest to always learn something new each day set a glowing example that others would do well to set as goals. You'll be missed David. God bless you and your family.

Deepest condolences from the Department of Philosophy at UWM. The Peltz award ceremonies – which honors David’s father, Richard, who was a highly valued member of the Department – has been a vital part of the Department’s life for decades now. We always very much appreciated David’s support and participation in those ceremonies. The Department will make a donation to the Dave Peltz Memorial Fund once it is possible to do so.

It was my great pleasure to know Dave over the past eight years. I was one man on the team to help him realize a dream of his to create a traveling museum piece of aviation history. I am sorry that he was not able to see the dream become a reality. I got to know him only well enough to get a sense of decency as a man who loved his family more than anything else. I will miss him. My condolences to the family.

Our prayers are with this strong family. They will persevere as Dave would have wanted them to. What a special guy and part of so many young lives. Danny said that the world was a better place with Dave Peltz in it. So true.

Our condolences to the entire family. We’ve never had the pleasure to meet Dave but we know he must have been incredible. Kieran found him to be an exceptional human and I can see that Sam has carried much of him into her life. We are profoundly sorrowful for this unexpected loss. We will always regret not meeting this impressive and determined man. To David, we thank you for raising such a remarkable young lady, in Sam. Our love, Laury Corrao Veksler and Mike Veksler

I spent a few all-too-brief times with David and his girls at a few of the Peltz luncheons. And, in each case, they added much to my enjoyment of that event. He and his gregarious and accomplished daughters. Obviously, all of them attested mightily to the Peltzes' parenting skills. What a wonderful, young family!
David once told me a funny, and particularly embarrassing, story about falling asleep in a (college) class. Okay, he fell asleep[. Who didn't? But the twist is that he awakened during the meeting of the next group! (I wish now that I had asked him to continue on with that tale of woe!)
I very much enjoyed reading Julie's heartfelt posting. I know that her mom and dad often thought of Julie, and they were always very much concerned for her well-being. Thank you, Julie!
Professor Richard was immeasurably important in my life, finding me my first teaching job in Eau Claire. And I enjoyed several chats with up-beat Cissie, at the gallery, who was always my welcoming hostess.
.
Judy and I send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Julie and to the others, who are now in our thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy to your entire family. Dave & your family were a constant presence in our family's life through sports but more so as a role model to a group of children & their parents. He dedicated his time to making the world better for those who knew him. He also played in the band when Bill & I married. May his memory be a blessing.

I am in shock to hear Dave has passed. There are so many memories from the time we spent together coaching baseball and basketball. Dave’s band (5 guys with day jobs) also played at our wedding. Jen, DJ, Michelle and Sam - I feel so bad for your loss and have all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I so wish I could attend the visitation but cannot take the risk of traveling to Milwaukee.
