Dean Wehrman Obituary

Wehrman, Dean Paul Of Sussex Wisconsin died on Saturday, August 23, 2008, while doing what he loved the most, camping with his family in Door County Wisconsin. He is greatly loved by his girls Kate, Emily and Michelle, and his wife and soul mate, Sue. Dean is the adored son of Carol Wehrman and brother to Dawn (Kevin) Kroneberg. He was the cherished uncle to Lucas, and the dear son-in-law to Ilse and Reinhard Paulus. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Wehrman. Dean is loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral Services for Dean will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 11AM, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, N89 W16856 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls. Burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Lannon. Visitation Thursday at the church from 10AM until time of service. Dean was born in Milwaukee on November 27, 1964, raised in Sussex and graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor's in Physical Therapy. As a rehab manager, Dean has been working for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare consciously for the past 12 years. Moments he spent with his girls were precious and he enjoyed visiting Disney World and treasured the many camping trips over the years with his family. Dean gave all he met in his life much love and humor and will be everlasting in our hearts. Donations to the family will be used for a memorial bench at his favorite place, the Peninsula Park Nature Center. SCHMIDT & BARTELT A.A. Dearest Sue,
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your dear love and mate so prematurely. I lost my daughter last year at 29 yrs old so very unexpectedly. I can understand the many emotions you are going through.

This valuable precious out pouring of friends in support will be a powerful means to support. Many friends from all over the world from my support forum left so many wonderful kind words they will never know that to today I still keep the legacy book on-line and read often of their love and support.

I also added pictures of my beautiful daughter at Disney, and showing her beautiful smile I always picture her with.

To each of our forum members posting, bless you all. I can not explain how meaning full and supportive it is to have such dear friends.

My deepest sympathy for your family. Keep alive what Dean loved for you all to do.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dean's passing. He was truly a man dedicated to his job and someone who cared about each and every person he worked with. But even at work, his heart was with his family. He spoke of them with humor, warmth, pride and so much love. He will be greatly missed.

I've worked with Dean since he came to WFH. As a fellow rehab leader, he was caring, energetic and great fun. He was "007" on our speed dial so we always called him our James Bond of Rehab! We are deeply saddened and we'll miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I haven't seen you for many years, probably not since you moved to Sussex, but I wanted to let you know how shocked and sad I am to hear of Dean's death. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I was just recently thinking of you when I bumped into Pam. Those at Upland Hills Health (MHIC) who knew you or Dean are also thinking of you.

Sue & girls,
Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I have memories of Dean giving us advice at church about getting our kids to take a bottle and the" straw trick" that my husband will forever be thankful for his advice. I have memories of how happy he always seemed around you and the girls.
Please know that we are here for you and the girls with anything you and your family may need. In Christian love, & prayer.

Sue,
I am sorry to all of you for your loss.
I know "I'm Sorry" is never enough, and nothing can ease your pain and make your world complete again.
Dean was a caring man who loved the girls and you with all he had. I will always remember the "Cheeto- Potato" incident and and every time I saw Dean he would remind me of it. From now on every time I see a Cheeto, I will think of him. I am here if you need a babysitter or help with anything. You and girls are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear about Dean. I enjoyed working with him at MAP and he shared many stories of "his girls", good times camping, Disney experiences, etc. I wish there was a way to ease your pain at this time but know that he truly loved his family and you were very important to him. As involved as he was with work details he always had time to talk about the real loves of his life!

Sue, Kate, Emily and Michelle;
Words cannot express my heartfelt sympathies. I only wish there was something I could do or something spectacular I could say to all of you ~but I know too well there is nothing I can say or do for you right now. I can only pray for healing, pray for that elephant to get off your chest, pray for that emptiness you feel, pray for your longing, and pray for your feeling of helplessness. Please know that my kids and I are here for all of you - if you want to meet sometime and just talk. There are no other words that I can say. Please know that we are thinking of you and wish we could take your pain away!

Dean was a fun-loving guy to be around. You couldn't be in a bad mood with him there! It was obvious that he was devoted to his family. We will miss his sense of humor and company on our camping trips. His friendship was a large part of our lives and will remain a hole in our hearts. Sue, Kate, Emily, and Shelly you know you are always more than welcome here, we consider you part of our family. Sue, you know what we mean when we say, our "garage" will never be the same without Dean. Please accept our sincerest sympathies to you all and count on us for anything that may come up.

My heart goes out his family (the girls in his life). I worked with Dean for the past 9 years off and on and I always loved the stories about the girls - especially how the little one was such a jokester (much like himself) :-) It was clear how much he loved his family and my heart just breaks with this news.
