Hey Dennis, I haven´t been out to visit you to often but I always have you on my mind. I can´t believe it´s been 10 years since you left. It´s still feels like yesterday. I miss you so much and things are not the same anymore at all. Have a few health issues of my own now. You have Bella with you now along with Charlie. They will take care of you. I love you

I never really got to say goodbye to Dennis, but it sounds like he had a wonderful life and partner by his side at the end. I'm grateful to know that. Dennis helped raise me, from when I was a baby to a teenager and, while those are not easy years, he was always incredibly kind to me and made me feel special. I am grateful for the time we had together, and am so sorry for his loss. Much love and light to his family .

Hi My Love, Happy Veterans Day 2017 I will come and visit you soon i want to put some Christmas flowers by you. I think about you everyday and say a prayer for you everynight. A few Days ago I was missing you and started to remember things. You left me with so many good memories. Like the time you came home and were trying to sleep a hangover off. And Tonya age 3 and Naomi age 5 hid a Bird chirping Christmas ornament in your room. I don't know how many times you mumbled and got out of bed to look out the window and see if you could find the bird. We all still laugh at that every time the girls and I get together. As Bob Hope always said "Thanks for the Memories" "I'll see you when I see you"

I was standing in front of the Band today doing the ceremonies at Southern Wisconsin Veterans' Memorial Cemetery . . . when they mentioned that Dennis had passed. I somehow hadn't heard . . . Dennis, everything you did to develop things at SWVMC was great. I'll miss seeing you in the NCO Council Color Guard. Rest well, my friend.

As I passed the TV I noticed that th Kentucky Derby was on. It reminded me of the time that Nancy, Willie and the kids stopped to see you on the way back from Ft Rucker. The horse in the back seat of the car in front of us, the bowling, boy you were good at that. Happier times and fondest of memories. I shall always remember Sgt Kaz as a great NCO: the true backbone of the service, custodian of our countrys' defense, responsible for mission and soldiers; Logistician, member of the Quartermaster Corp and superb supply sergeant-we crossed paths in the Reserve when he was with the Calvary Unit in Madison, the 84th Division in Racine and then we built a Battalion together (2nd Bn, 4 Bde, 85th Division)in Madison from 1993-1997. He was a proud NCO who possessed all the great traits of a soldier- Duty, Honor, Country, Loyalty, Respect, Selfless Serve, and Personal Courage. Thanks Sgt Kaz for the best gift "your friendship". I was so sorry to hear that Dennis had passed. I do have lots of memories of him I used to sit and talk to him for hours and he always gave me good advise along with tons of laughs.Although it's been years since ive talked to him,I ran into a little trouble in my personal life, he again opened his heart and his home to me and offered me a place to stay I will always remember you Dennis and cherish all the times. Love PeeWee RIP to one of the best men I had the privelge to call my friend.

I have thought about the times we shared, so many times the last few days. From the early days of the Knickbocker hotel, to the days we lived together in Racine. You were the go to guy for anything, military or otherwise. You cared so much for your fellow man. By your example we must all try to live our lives that way. I could always count on you to have my back regardless of what it was. I will miss you terribly Denny. We will meet again someday. Until then you will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
