My condolences to the family of Doug Van Beek. I was one of his fellow teachers at MATC. He was 20 years older than me and I looked up to him in several ways. He got me to become a regular early morning swimmer and I continue that healthy habit to this day. I also admired his hard work in supporting the teachers union, AFT-Local 212. Sincerely, Michael Milliren

Dearest Van Beek Family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this diffcult time. Please accept my deepest condolences. My heart goes out to you your family. Your dad has been in my life as long as I rememeber and will cherish those childhood memories as happy ones. I can see your mom and dad square dancing, playing cards at our house and all those picnics. Doug's death leaves a heartache no one can heal, and his love leaves a memory no one can steal. Prayers and Blessings
