Many times, Duane delivered medications to our group home. He always had a smile on his face. He was so friendly and the guys really enjoyed his visits. Our deepest sympathy to your family at this hard time. God Bless!

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Truly Duane was treasured by all who knew him. To think that such a humble guy from such a humble town as ours could be loved by so many from so many places. I recall Duane in a HS play, playing sports together, church and school times.

From the comments from those of you who knew him in adulthood, I can picture the fine father, husband and co worker my friend became. We are all lucky to have known him and will miss him.

Mary Beth, children and Newhouse family,

I had the good fortune of working w/ Duane @ the Napa Atlanta DC and the AP Center, Duane was indeed one of the most honest, kind, and sincere individuals one could ever hope to meet, all who knew him through his years w/ Napa were better for having worked w/ him, Duane's level of integrity, compassion, and fairness in his treatment of others are only some of the many many attributes Duane possessed.

May God grant you Mercy and many continued Blessings and Prayers from myself and the many other lives @ GPC Duane touched through the years.

Sincerely,

Cindy Edenfield

Mary Beth, there is not much that can be said at this time, but just know that the many friends and associates that came into contact with Duane regarded him as one of the finest individuals they knew, me included. While this is a very difficult time, it will get better as more time passes, and as you reflect on the many fond memories I'm sure you shared with Duane over the years.

Mary Beth,

I was so sorry to hear of the recent passing of Duane. You may not remember me, but I worked with Duane when we were both at NAPA Roanoke together. I was the D.C. Sales Manager, with the twin daughters.

Even though Duane and I both transferred to other locations, I would always catch up with him at company meetings. Duane was always such a professional...and a gentleman. I don't think that I have often worked with someone who was so willing to help anyone...do anything.

Please accept my deepest sympathy, and please know that I will keep Duane and your entire family in my prayers. God bless and comfort you.

It's been many years, but Duane has never been far from my thoughts. I have fond memories of high school plays, banquets at The Castle Restaurant, Letchworth picnics, and that red souped-up car of his (what was it? a Valiant?) with the stiff clutch.

I regret not seeing him one more time, but then, doesn't everyone?

I'm sure he was a loving father and husband, and will be greatly missed. He has gone home much too soon.

My heart and prayers are with you all at this time. God Bless.

I wanted to express my deep sorrow and condolences to Mary Beth, the children and Duane’s family. I knew Duane and his family quite well growing up in Fillmore, NY. Duane was always a stable influence in our group of friends growing up. Always knowing right from wrong. (Others of us sometimes forgot). I have been moved by the updates on his condition and the outstanding strength and faith of his wife and children. We also prayed for his recovery like many others. I have been blessed to know him. He will be missed but not forgotten.

God speed
