I remember Edna as one of the first people I worked with in the Recreation Division in 1964 when I started in the Mimeo Room. She helped me in many ways and I greatly appreciated her help and friendship over the years. I especially remember her worrying about Norman and her Nancy. I also remember her playing Santa at a Recreation Division Christmas Party. She was fun and a fine friend. We lost touch over the years since her retirement but I often think of her with affection.

memories of grandma: planting petunias around her house in the spring, riced potatoes with dinner, jolly good soda in the bottom drawer of the fridge, frozen rolos, harvesting pumpkins and apples from her back yard, having to sing "tomorrow" from annie for her, learning her secret sweedish meatball recipe, her "boyfriends" (her nickname for her canes,) "ho-ho-ho" instead of merry christmas whenever we opened a gift from santa, poochie (the little white poodle that lived forever,) going to the bank and the beauty parlor with her in that boat of a car on saturday mornings. thanks, grandma, for taking in and raising my mother. i hope you are in heaven with grandpa.
