Edwin Olen Obituary

Olen, Edwin C. "Eddie" Born to Eternal Life Wednesday, August 26, 2009, age 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Hinz). Dear father of Robert (Gail) Olen. Loving grandfather of Mark (Jennifer), Laura (Lawrence J.) Chapman and Ryan Olen. Special great-grandfather of Molly and Joshua. Dear brother of Harry, Joe (Genevieve) and Francis. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Victoria (nee Krawczyk), and his siblings Mike, Kenneth, Walter, Tess, Edna and Sr. Amabilia. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, August 31, 4-7 PM. Funeral Services at 7 PM. Interment TUESDAY 11 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 614 E. Howard Ave. Eddie worked at the Perfex Corp. his entire career, was an avid golfer, who belonged to the Grant Park Senior League, loved bowling, baseball and the Packers. We are so sorry to hear about Ed. He was such a terrific neighbor. John and I lived next door to him for 7 years at 2918. He was one reason we did not want to move. I miss our talks and laughs in the yard. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
