I met Florence in fernandina Beach FL in 1970. Both our families attnded St Michael Catholic Church and soon I got involved in the Craft Group - A group of ladies who met once a week to make hand crafted items for the Christmas Bazaar. EVERYONE in town looked forward to purchasing these items at the Bazaar. Florence constantly worked on items at home; she never stopped. She was such an inspiration to everyone who knew her. I always said I wanted to be like her when I grew up! She was a lday, a great lady, she was generous, kind, thoughtul, caring and loving. I missed seeing her after she moved to Luther Haven but we caught up once in a while when she came "home". We all will surely miss her.

Dear, dear Florence...she was an absolute gift and an inspiration. When my mom moved to Luther Haven two years ago, she thought she was old at 81. Florence and all her tablemates have shown her that life can be lived fully no matter your age! I admired her spunk and genuine happiness, and I'll miss seeing her when I am there.
