Dear Marilynd, Marie and the Haglund Family,

Skip will be missed by his friends and fraternity brothers. He was taken much too soon. There will be a little less joy and fun in the world without Skip.

May you rest in peace, my Brother.

I've known Skip for approximately 5 years, maybe a little longer. We met thru our mutual love of tennis at the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department. We grew close over the years, as we would get together on Saturday mornings to play tennis in addition to seeing each other for our regular matches and practice during the week. In one of my most memorable matches in May of last year, Skip and I won the first set pretty easily, and then when we were about to win the second set my back went out and I was in serious pain. We lost the second set in a tie-breaker. Skip, being the gentleman that he is, assumed we should just forfeit the third set because he was concerned for me. Out of my respect and admiration for Skip, and knowing how competitive we both are, I stuck the third set out and we ended up winning it and the match. We were both so excited. I was in the emergency room the next day because of my back, and Skip and I have joked about that ever since. We enjoyed talking about the stock market and investing, tennis, and whatever else he would surprise me with. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. I always looked forward to seeing him on the courts and sending emails back and forth. He will be sadly missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

My heart goes out to all of you and know that "Skip" will be missed. He was GREAT friend and neighbor. I remember those long walks on the golf course. He was a wonderful listener. May he rest in Peace. Marilynd & Marie know that he is watching over you and you will get through the rough times. Much Love, Shalom

Haglund family,I got to know Skip through tennis during the past two years. I have only been in the area for just over 2 years, but joined the Mavericks tennis team in MP and Skip was one of the first to make friends with me.

I very much enjoyed meeting and playing tennis with Skip and getting to know him.

The team is shocked by this and we just had a match last month before the holidays. Skip was there with his wonderful attitude, spirit and I know he won his match that night. We will miss him dearly!

On behalf of all the current and past members of the Mt. P. Mavericks, I would like to pass on our thoughts and prayers. We will be making a contribution to the American heart Association in "Skip's" memory.

Skip, You were such a fun neat guy. I guess now you can ride your motorcycle all the time, since you will be riding with the angels! Marilynd and Marie, I am so sorry for the sorrow that you feel, but know that Skip will always be riding with you in your hearts! Please let me know if there is ANYTHING that I can do! I regret that I will be unable to be there for you this weekend, but I am working. Please know that I will always be available.
