George Radler Obituary

Age 73, of Naples, FL and Manitowish Waters, WI, passed away January 28, 2005. He was born September 1, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Mary (Conley) Radler. He graduated from Marquette University High School, Marquette University, and Marquette Law School, and lived in the Milwaukee, WI area most of his life. George and his partners founded Milwaukee Investment Realty, Inc. and CCRT Properties. After George began spending his winters in Naples, FL, he spent countless hours building houses with his friends at Habitat For Humanity of Collier County, Inc. in Immokalee, FL. He was a long-time member of the Imperial Golf Club in Naples, FL, Western Racquet Club of Elm Grove, WI, Milwaukee Athletic Club of Milwaukee, WI, and the Oconomowoc Golf Club of Oconomowoc, WI.

George was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Ann (Brian) Alberts of Oconomowoc, WI. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ann (Herr), and children, Robert (Barbara) Radler of Portland, OR, Daniel (Catherine) Radler of Brookfield, WI, Susan (Joel) Jenson of Hudson, WI, and Janice (Harold) Olson of Draper, Utah. He is further survived by his grandchildren, David Radler, Mark Radler, Andrew Radler, Katelyn Radler, John Alberts, Cody Jenson, Jacob Jenson, Caleb Olson, and Zachary Olson. George will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, John (Joan), David (Virginia), and Paul (Virginia), his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dr. Anthony and Rosalie Ziebert, and many friends.

George always believed that a good education was the best gift anyone could ever give. In testament to that belief, he put all of his children through college, one child through graduate school, and three children through law school. He also spent many hours as a volunteer tutoring children at St. Leo's Church in Bonita Springs, FL.

Visitation, on Fri. Feb 4, 9AM at St. John Vianney Church, (corner of Gebhardt and Calhoun Roads) until the time of Memorial Mass at 10 AM. Graveside services to follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery.

Mary Ann,

Though your heart is sad, may it also hold the blessings of the life and love you shared that will always be a part of you. I pray that God will comfort your heart, uplift your spirit and carry you through this time to a place of peace. I had not seen George since we were children. I am sure he is surrounded by the rest of the Radlers. I am one of Sy Surprise and Leona Radler's daughters)

Mary Ann, Sorrow comes in many fashions. The passing of a loved one should be a celebration of their life going full circle, not a time of grief. I did'nt know George personally, (the Radlers were a splintered group) but I was very close to Jim & Tony Radler (Wisc). Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
