Sirotkin, George V.B. Entered Eternal Peace on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the age of 99 years. Beloved husband of Harriet (nee Stallman) for 66 years. Dear father of Cynthia (James) Wittich of Chanhassen, MN.; Marcia Colter of Casselberry, FL. and Peter (Patricia) of Omaha, NE. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Wittich of Edina, MN.; Claire (Todd) Harper of Baltimore, MD; Joshua Colter of Miami, FL.; Jessica (Joshua) Curnes of Casselberry, FL., Jeremiah Colter of Lake Mary, FL., Emily (Timothy) Relihan of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Sarah Sirotkin of Chicago, IL. He will also be remembered by four great-grandchildren and other relatives and dear friends. George Sirotkin was born in Kiev, Russia on September 1, 1918, and lived in the Milwaukee area since 1922. During World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater and was Executive Officer of LST 275 and was Commanding Officer of LST 1104. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a Registered Mechanical Engineer. George co-founded KEL-SIR Company. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Wauwatosa, Westmoor Country Club, Honorary Member of Wauwatosa Curling Club, Honorary Member of the Waukesha Curling Club, first recipient of the Westmoor Country Club Award, in the Hall of Fame of Exmoor Curling Club of Highland Park, IL. and a member of the University of Wisconsin Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF WAUWATOSA, 1511 Church St. Wauwatosa, at 1:30 PM. A reception is to follow for family and friends. Private family Interment. Memorials in George's name are appreciated to Evans Scholarship Foundation, One Briar Rd., Golf, IL. 60029, or to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank the staff at Oak Park Place and Allay Hospice for their care and service.
