Captain Gerald E. "Jerry" Graf

Gerald Graf Obituary

Lifelong resident of Waukesha, flew his last mission to our Lord on September 17, 2005. Jerry served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II as a B-17 pilot. Jerry flew 35 missions in Europe, including 3 missions during D-Day, with great honor and respect for his country. Jerry and his wife Shirley owned and operated GE Graf Trucking, Inc. and GTS Trucking, Inc. for 42 years. Jerry was a member of The Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ and the Waukesha Elks Lodge #400.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Wallich) Graf of Pewaukee; his brother, Dr. Richard (Barbara) Graf of Highland Center; his sister-in-law, Dr. Lynn (Mary Jo) Wallich of Columbus, Ohio; his niece, Pam (Brian) Fisher of Pewaukee; his nephews, Dr. Andrew (Beth) Graf of Madison, Dr. Bill (Anne) Graf of Madison and Rick (Angela) Graf of Minneapolis, MN; his grandnephews and grandnieces, Josh and Zach Fisher, Garrett, Drew and Katelyn Graf, Billy, MaryClaire and Kiley Graf, and Kathryn, Derek and Christine Graf.

The Funeral Service for Gerald will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005 at 6:30 PM at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. The Rev. James Gorman officiating. The Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the 6:30 PM Service. Interment will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005 at 10:00 AM with full military honors at Prairie Home Cemetery (meet in front of the cemetery office). Memorials in Jerry's name are appreciated to the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), The Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ or the charity of the donor's choice.
