Sorry to learn of Glen's passing.
We lived in the same USL dorm for three years. We often double dated. We were roommates at FSU for two years. He was my best man at my wedding in 1970. We visited him in Wisconsin and saw him several times in Louisiana.

I just learned of Glen's death. So sad. We attended graduate school at FSU together and we remained good friends for the next 4+ decades as we went through life as parents, historians, and authors. My condolences to his family and to his UWM History Department. He was a kind and gentle prince of a human being and a flat out wicked smart historian and gifted writer.

Sad news. We'd lost touch in recent years, but an association that goes back to fall semester 1964 is never completely broken.

My condolences to Glenn's family and friends at this time of loss. I came to know Glenn during my years as UWM campus provost and always appreciated chances to interact with him. I remember him as a devoted teacher and scholar, an engaging story teller and a gentle man with a deep regard for the welfare of others. Plus I always loved that Louisiana accent. I'm deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

Sending my condolences to Glen's daughters and family and friends. So very sorry for your loss. Glen and I were classmates at Poydras High School in New Roads, LA. We graduated in 1964. Our class is very close. Glen did get to come down for some of the reunions. I know we will reminisce at our next reunion and will have good thoughts of Glen. He was such a brilliant and pleasant person. RIP Glen.
