Glenn Lewis Obituary

Lewis, Glenn Alexander Left us tragically after a car accident on July 3, 2019; he was born in Fox Point, Wisconsin on August 27th, 1962. Glenn was a devoted husband to Eliza (Sinclair) and beloved father of Chandler, McKenna, Hunter and Colin. The cherished brother of Robert Jr. (Cheryl), Jane (Terry) Rice, Sue (Brett) Lein, and David (Maureen), he was a wonderful brother-in-law of Stuart Sinclair (Susie) and Sherry (Jim) Buchanan and dear step-son of Peg Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Tess Lewis and mother-in-law Mimo Birckhead and father-in-law Ian Sinclair. Glenn was a fun-loving, kind, and selfless man who was dedicated to working hard for his family. For the past 11 years he was a Senior Business Development Executive for CleanPower. Glenn was a proud graduate of St. Eugene Grade School, Dominican High School, and UW-Oshkosh. Glenn was known by many neighbors for his passion for landscaping and helping others. His family and friends will deeply miss Glenn's deep laughter and his positive, easy going personality with which he handled the many challenges of life. Glenn's recent passion was to help build awareness for mental health issues as he traveled to the Marshfield Clinic to support building a Mental Health Wing. A Celebration of Life will be held at Life Church, W164 N11325 Squire Dr. Germantown on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The 82 Project Foundation's Glenn Lewis Memorial Fund.

Sharing your grief at this impossible time.

Always, always too soon...

I never met the man, but spent many hours/days/nights with his wonderful daughter, McKenna, a dear friend to my own daughters, and I saw first-hand the integrity he built in his family.

Glenn died a hero, in my book. -Taken too soon, but forever surrounding us with his strong spirit, so we may carry on in faith...

Rest in sweet eternal peace, fellow traveler. Thank you for all your amazing gifts to this life.

Glenn A. Lewis was a wonderful son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, employee, and friend to so many. To my sister Liza, and their 4 beautiful TNT children, he was dad. A devoted husband and father, a fun and funny uncle, a loving brother, a good friend, a hard worker... All who knew him loved him, and all who loved him will miss him every single day. Glenn epitomized the power of positive thinking. One of his many affirmations was to "Keep Keeping On" and never, ever give up. So in the dark times, when we feel the weight of life's challenges on our shoulders, we will remember to ask ourselves #WWGD What Would Glenn Do? And the reply we hear will be to Keep Keeping On. So for you, Glenn Lewis, we will keep our fond memories of times spent with you alive, and we will always Keep Keeping On! Love and miss you. Jim, Sherry, Ryley and Braeden

Our neighborhood will not be the same without Glenn's warm smile, hearty laugh, and good humor. Over the years, our interactions grew from a wave and hello that could morph into talks about anything, everything, or nothing at all. He was one of those rare people who made you feel better not just for what he said or did, but for just his being himself. He will be missed!

Glenn will surely be missed by the Central Wisconsin Contractor's Association in Wausau. He was an advocate for our organization and never missed a monthly meeting. A joy to always talk with, and we will miss him serving up burgers and brats at the Contractor's golf outing this month.

I was lucky enough to consider Glenn a friend as I got to know him through CWCA and then his work with Marshfield Clinic Health System. He was incredibly passionate about helping others in many ways and his energy, conversations and zest for life will be greatly missed. It was clear that his family was his whole world. We were blessed to know Glenn as a friend and business partner - we could always call him on a moments notice and he would get the job done. He was also involved in our Tees for Kids Golf Scramble that benefits Children's Miracle Network. Glenn was so kind and always eager to help make our event the best it could be. It was obvious he had a passion for helping others and he will truly be missed.

I had the privilege of meeting Glenn at the YMCA in West Bend and worked out with him two days a week. He had a great sense of humor and a huge smile that lit up the room. I will especially miss his snoring during the relaxation time during BodyFlow class. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and friends. He is missed.

What a kind, friendly person you were. I met Glenn earlier this year at the Y during my running small group. He just hopped on the treadmill next to me, and once training was over, began asking questions about what the class was. Each week, I would see him, he would ask me how training went and share his fitness journey and the progress he was making, he asked me questions about running and the days I felt were rough, he high- fived me, told me how awesome that was. He always had a smile on his face and stopped to say hi in the hall. I will miss seeing your smile and will probably always look for you next time I am on the treadmill at the Y. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this time.

There is nothing that can express the tragedy that has befallen your family. Simply stated, Glenn had the heart of a lion! It comes as no suprise that his devotion to family was his focus. It was emblematic of the loving parents and family which surrounded him on Bayfield Rd.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
