My Dad, Cliff Bastian worked with Mr. Pfefferkorn at Nordberg for many years. He would share humorous stories at the dinner table. As little kids we loved just hearing him say "Pfefferkorn". After a grueling day, he would often start his dinner conversation with, "well Pfefferkorn quit!", meaning it was a tough day at work. For years and years we would ask Dad, "So, did Pfefferkorn quit today?" While we didn't know Mr. Pfefferkorn personally, our Dad sure did. Rest in peace. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to those he left behind.
