Grant was my best friend growing up in Menomonee Falls. We rode our bicycles around our neighborhood on Menomonee Manor Drive. We ate Big Macs at McDonald's when they started making them, back in the day. His father was our leader for a Methodist work mission in Eastern Kentucky. We went on a Methodist work mission up North in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1972. A kind-hearted, good-natured, fun-loving best friend a feller could ever have.

Grant was a very dear friend whom I will forever miss. He had a warm heart, great sense of humor, and was always kind and humble. Grant, my late wife Susan, and I spent many hours as a trio post high school graduation hitting the local Taco Bell, Slinger Speedway on Sunday nights and watching Saturday Night live when it was worth watching. Until we meet in heaven my good friend, I will miss you here.

What I will miss is Grant's laugh. It would start as a mischievious giggle and end as a twinkle as his eyes and face lit up.
