Gregory Hannon Obituary

Gregory John Hannon

King - Gregory John Hannon, born October 5, 1951 passed quietly into eternal life May 28th at the VA Center in King Wisconsin. Greg was the only son of Rose and Alvin Hannon. He is survived by his Aunt Evelyn Schwager, and multiple cousins. He served two years as an Army non-combatant in Vietnam. He returned determined to serve the Milwaukee community that he loved. After graduating from Cardinal Stritch College, he went on to teach Theology at St. Mary's Academy. After the school closed, Greg served as the Director of the St. Vincent DePaul Meal Program at 9th and W. Madison on the South Side. His charism was always to serve those in most need by witnessing to his firmly held Catholic Faith. A Memorial Service for his family will be held in King, WI where he will be buried. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Milwaukee for his family, many friends, and people whom he served.
