Dear Florence:

Howard was a good man, husband, father, teacher and an excellent friend. He lived a good, long and happy life. He never had any regrets, not even when he was diagnosed with his illness. He really made a positive difference in the lives that he touched, including mine. He will live forever in my heart. I hope that God grants you and your love ones peace and serenity in this moment of sorrow. Please extend my condolences to your sons and daughters. God bless you all.

Dear Mrs. Healy and Family,

Please accept out deepest condolences on the loss of a terrific husbasnd, father, grandfather, and Warrior! His service to his country, family and Marquette University reflect the dedication of Howard to everything he pursued in life. Both of you, Florence and Howard, taught and touched so many lives in ways you may never know. We shared in your value of education and thank you for helping our children pursue Catholic education - especially Will. MU was very lucky to have such a dedicated professor who truly cared about his students. We know that Howard is enjoying his encounter with God and we were so glad to hug you both on your 57th wedding anniversary. Howard truly left footprints on our lives. We will miss him at St. Agnes, but know we have another angel looking over us.

In love and peace,

Ken & Mary Ellen

One of the best professors I had at Marquette. Truly someone that made you think "outside the box", before that phrase was cliche. He made his mark on thousands of graduates from bus ad over the years, and will be remembered as a unique, and every effective teacher.
