Irene Luke Obituary

Irene M. Luke (nee Howell

Butler - Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 99. Irene was born August 24, 1921. Her husband, James Luke preceded her in death, they were married for 64 years, and had been long time residents of Butler, WI. Irene was the oldest of twelve and she was beloved by her eight brothers and three sisters. She enjoyed family times socializing with siblings and her extended Howell and Luke families.

She is survived by her sons Dennis (Barbara) Luke and Michael (Sharon)Luke. Irene was a treasured grandmother to Michelle (Mark) Williams, Jason Luke, Judson (Sara) Luke, and Darren (Rachel Lewis) Luke. She was a proud great grandmother to Evan (Sara) Fierst, Georgia and Parker Luke, Alex Lewis, Joseph, Nicole, Daniel, Brittany and Sean Theobold and Charlie Fierst. She was a cherished sister of Dale (Marsha) Howell, Alan (Diane) Howell, sister-in-law Arlene (Richard) Howell. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, the family will have a private gathering Tuesday, February 9, 2021 followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Lasata Care Center, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Rd., Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lasata Care Center for their compassionate care for Irene, for three plus years. Special thanks to niece Chris Kuemmerlein for her loving attention to her "Auntie".
