The family may not know me very well or my three younger sisters but we were cousins to the Gerard's. My mother Jean Albrecht was Aunt Ruby's niece (your grandma). We would just like to let you all know that you are in are thoughts and prayers as we know how it is to loose a loved one. May god bless you all in this time.

Jake, you were such a great brother. You always looked out for me even though you were my little brother, and you were always willing to help me out. "I remember asking you to change my oil and you said you were about to leave, but you would do it anyways. Then you were like wait Crystal you dont even have a car, and we just laughed. I forgot I got in that car accident. you always made me smile. You were a great god father to Darrien and a wonderful a uncle, Darrien loved his uncle Jake. I just hope Darrien is everything like you. What else can i say that you dont know. Except maybe that I looked up to you and was so proud of you. You didnt make excuses for why you couldnt do something, you just did it and made it happen. I love you and me and Darrien cant wait to see you again, until then Im sure you'll be watchin over us.

Your Loving Brother.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this for you, Jake. Life has thrown some curveballs at me, but this one just makes me want to give up. Knowing you are in a better place is what enables me to stay strong. You were a good person and tried to do all the right things with your life. Being average was not acceptable to you, and everything you did showed how much you really cared. It is easy to take the people in your life for granted until they are gone. The silver lining in this cloud is that you aren’t really gone. You continue to live in a special place within our hearts, and will never be forgotten.

I remember when we were younger and all of us were together everyday. I cut my hair like you and you wore my shoes down the street . You always got along with everyone we always played some wierd game that Gary would makee up and sometimes if we were lucky Gary would make us his homemade pizza afterwords. A lot of people miss you and love you and always will. I would give anything for you to come back.
