James Allen Dix

Dix, James Allen Aged 69, passed away on March 21, 2016. Born in Milwaukee to Henry and Evelyn Dix. Beloved husband of Mary Paula (nee Zajackowski), loving father of Amy (Jeroen) Valensa, Elana Dix (Spouse Matt Smaus), Angela, and Nora. Cherished grandfather of Colin, Darren, and Preston Valensa and Louis Smaus and Baby Smaus on the way. Dear brother of David (Betty) Dix and Janice Wickman. Further survived by brothers-in-law Mark, Charles and John Zajackowski, nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends. James served in the US Navy from 1964 to 1979 in Communications and Cryptology. Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Enjoyed an extensive career at Square D, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and retired from Harley-Davidson as a Manager in Business Process Architecture. Jim thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren, longtime friendships, traveling, learning and riding his Harley. His warm-hearted generosity, constant kindness, keen mind and loving spirit was appreciated by everyone he encountered. Visitation on Monday March 28th from 1pm to 4pm with service to follow at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W National Ave in New Berlin.
