James Johnson Obituary

Johnson, James Born to Eternal Life on November 6, 2008, at the age of 31. Loving father of Chloe Isabella Johnson Petersen. Loving son of Suzanne (Greg) Slominski and Dan Johnson. Devoted brother of Jordan Slominski. Grandson of Bonnie Wellens, Leroy (Camille) Johnson and Elaine Czarnecki. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. James was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Wellens, his cousin, Joseph Wellens, Jr. and his uncle, David Johnson. James's love for his daughter was the most important thing in his life. He was the best Dad he could possibly be. James went through a courageous three year battle with brain cancer. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Special thanks to the staff at Froedtert Hospital and especially Dr. Kate Hospice in Woodruff, WI, for their kindness and gentle care. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Chloe at Citizens Bank in Woodruff, WI or donations can be sent to Dr. Kate Hospice. Services will be on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 5 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, Germantown. Visitation will be from 2-5 PM at the church on Sunday. Burial will be on Monday at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Almond, WI. Bolger Funeral Home is serving the family.

Greg & Sue
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. It was so nice to have James come along and spend Xmas last year with all of us. I know he had a good time at our house. He even had a toast with Pete's homemade wine!! I can still see him swinging his school bag, walking on Fisher Creek, coming to our house from Our Redeemer! We will miss him! Love Pete & Susie

James lives on in our memories. I remember all the times that he and JoJo played and spent time with our family. The summers he spent with us. He was a special nephew, and I am grateful to have known him and to have had him in my life. I am comforted to know that he and JoJo will be together again, side by side to share the memories of the good times and watch over us until we join them in heaven.
