The things that stand out in my memory of Mr. S. is that you always knew when he was in the room because of his love of life! You heard it in his unmistakable laugh and that voice that carried across the neighborhood! I could never keep up with the man either, and often wondered why he was always in a race! He ice skated circles around everyone on the rink and always seemed to be singing a song. I always felt welcome...well, not when Michael and I would get into trouble! I figure I spent a good portion of my younger years around him, and he treated me like another son. What a wonderful legacy he has left behind!

I'm certain he is in a better place now and will surely be missed by all!

Until we meet again Mr. S....

Laurie and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences. We only knew Jim a few years, but upon our first meeting we realized how deeply he cared about his family and his church. We loved his food and his great sense of humor. We will miss his zest for life and the twinkle in his eye.

Lauri I was so sorry to read that your husband passed away. I worked with you at Gimbels and you were always so nice. I remember you had a large happy family!

Laurie, and family

So sorry that I will not be able to come to the funeral on Thursday. I have to do a presentation at work at that same time and it cannot be moved. Please know how much I have enjoyed knowing Jim and I always will remember the wonderful things he baked for Lori and Reese's rehearsal dinner so many years ago. Jim was a very special person - he will be missed.
