Major mattered and served with distinction at the reputable Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School, a U S Blue Ribbon Exemplary School 1994 . He was one of the most prolific, yet humble and collaborative instructional employees I hired. He transformed the ROTC Program because he honored the standards of the U S Air Force and supported career goals of many students, many whom he recommended for matriculation at our nation's prestigious Academies/ service upon graduation in the military. I still wear the American flag he bestowed upon my being named by POTUS Bill Clinton the nation's 1st National Principal of the Year.

I flew with Charles Wagner on EC-130E command and control aircraft in the mid 80s....he was very obviously one of the smartest people in that unit, and easily one of the funniest....it was an honor to have served with him

Major Wagner was a big influence on my family. I really don't have the words to express what he meant to me, to us. I'm happy we have the opportunity to celebrate his life.

Major Jim Wagner served with distinction with the VA-91st AFJROTC Cadet Group as a member of our faculty at Randolph-Macon Academy. He was an outstanding instructor and mentor for our cadets during his time with us. He had a distinguished career in the United States Air Force and was an important part of our JROTC program at R-MA as well as a coach. Maribelle and I are deeply saddened by his passing and send our condolences to Sandy, Jimmy, and Shannon.

Major served with fidelity at Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School and developed a stellar Air Force Jr ROTC Program with the most in the state attending academies, serving the nation and by being citizens of integrity. He fulfills the school's motto: When you said Tech you said it all. Major gave his all. May God for everything hold him in the hallow of of His hands.
