I still miss you, Jane. So often I think of you and the times we had together...sledding at the public golf course over the moguls the young guys had made. Trying to prove we could still keep up. Limping into Sunday evening church that night because we´d ruined our backs, proving we could not keep up!! Taking Jessie, April and her brother Antwon out to eat. Oh, I miss you Jane.

Claudia just sent me Jane´s obituary. I am so so sorry. My memories of her are mostly from our childhood. Since our dads worked together at Fredricks Drugstore our paths crossed frequently and she was special even as a child. So sweet, sincere and kind. I still think of her as a young girl and I find it extremely difficult to believe that she has passed. She is in gods hands now and reunited with her loving parents. I´m sure Rog and Dot have been watching her grow and develop into the wonderful lady she became and waiting patiently to be reunited. Love to all her family.

I want to express my deepest condelences to Jane's family and friends as they grieve her loss. I only met Jane a handful of times through my aunt, who is Charles Wrede's wife. But Jane always left an impression of kindness, fun, and charm every time I met her or talked with her. She was so friendly, outgoing, and accepting, and when she spoke to you she made you feel like the most important person in the room. I was incredibly saddened to hear of her passing, and her family and friends remain in my thoughts and prayers. I know she will be missed, and I hope the memories of good times with Jane will live on with everyone who knew her.

As I sit here at my desk watching the celebration of Jane's life from Honduras, from the corner of my eye I can see a little metal cabin long bereft of the syrup which it once held. Jane sent it to me years ago because I once said I wanted to live in a little cabin in the woods! That was Jane. She made each of us feel like we were her best friend. She faithfully gave to the ministry God called me to every single month no matter what. She filled out lives with laughter and love. I count myself so blessed to have known Jane this side of heaven and am so glad we will be together again in eternity. I honor Jane this day and praise God for all the laughter and joy we shared. She will be sorely missed by all of us who love her so.

Dear Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy. Jane was an amazing lady. I (Beth) worked with Jane at the Joy House. She was a joy to work with and had such a wonderful sense of humor. Dan also worked with Jane in several capacities, and agrees she was a very special lady. We are praying for God´s comfort and strength to envelope you all.

Darling Jane: It's been so long since your brother and I were friends in college. But I remember your family well-you, Charlie, Mary, your Mom and Dad, and all five of your aunts-Irmgard, Hildegard, Lila, Viola and Esther. They would play a game ... challenge me to tell them apart! I remember, also, how they loved you dearly. Likewise, it´s clear that you touched many lives with your love, kindness and friendship-and the Wrede sense of humor. I´m pleased that you found Casey, and your souls are united, as you are SO truly and greatly missed.

My very dearest Janeline,
You are and will continue to be a forever BFF since kindergarten. You have always been there through every triumph or tear. You are the brightest star and the most funny and creative side kick to entertain alongside. Your humor and stories of the mundane and bizarre are true legends. Tap dancing forever with Jesus and Casey in your eternal Home. P.S last pic is Jane and I as primates picking fleas...(one of our favorite shticks. Welcome to Heaven dear sister. I love you and miss you badly!

Jane and I were friends since the day I started working at Elmbrook in 1986. She befriended me and made me feel welcome as she did everyone. She texted me New Year's Eve and we reminisced on all the funny thing we have done together through the years...I had no idea how she was feeling. She sounded like "normal Jane", asking about me, my husband and daughter...even my dad, Dick Robinson and Laurie McIntyre. That's Jane...always caring about everyone else. I will miss her immensely, especially when I come to visit Milwaukee because she was always someone I visited now that I've moved to Idaho. But I trust we will see her again at the Feast!

Sweet Jane Wrede. I looked forward to our catch up letters, and the fun box of purple surprises you would send my way. You had a way of remembering the little things people loved, and always finding a way to gift them or surprise them with it. You are a quirky, beautiful, generous soul and will be very missed.

Dear Triplet, It is with great sadness I write this here to honor your life. Our mothers brought us into this world on Valentine's Day 1957. Although we met at birth in the same hospital room our mothers shared, we didn't form our "special bond" until high school. Your humor and wit was amazing. You brought joy to many others. You will be greatly missed, but I find comfort you are with our Lord and Savior. You are forever my triplet and the world's special Valentine! Love you.....
