Jean Gauer Obituary

Gauer, Jean G. Age 83, Gillett, died early Monday morning, July 26, 2010, in Milwaukee. Born March 19, 1927, in Madison, to the late George and Mabel (Anderson) Gauer and moved with his family to Milwaukee, graduating from Bay View High School. As a young man he served in the US Army. On August 27, 1949 he married Dawn Maynard in Milwaukee. Jean was employed for Wisconsin Electric, before retiring to Oconto County in 1992. Survivors are two sons, Leonard (Bonnie) Gauer, Milwaukee and Michael (Dawne) Gauer, Waupaca; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, Dawn and one brother, George. Visitation with the urn present will be held after 10:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2010, at St. John's Riverside Lutheran Church, 5686 State Hwy. 32, Town of Oconto Falls (Gillett), until the time of service. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Burial of the urn will follow in the church cemetery. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls (920-848-2222 or visit: www.jonesfuneral.com) is serving the Gauer family.
