Jennie O'Malley Obituary

O'Malley, Jennie Marie Born to Eternal Life May 19, 2017 at the young age of 38 years. Loving wife of Matt. Extraordinarily talented and loving Mom of Ella, Rollie and Grant. Jennie will be deeply missed by all family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday May 25, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 5601 N Santa Monica Blvd in Whitefish Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorials to https://www.youcaring.com//erg would be greatly appreciated for the children's college tuition and expenses. Jennie began her career at the age of 15 as a Training Opportunities for Proven Starts (TOPS) intern with S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. in Racine, WI. In 1997 she began her post-secondary education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. While at UWO she served as President of the Zeta Tau Alpha woman's fraternity, gave her time as a volunteer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Business Administration. In 2001 she accepted a position with WE Energies and in 2003, while working full time, Jennie became a Marquette University Law School student. After a semester as a visiting honors student at George Mason University Law School in Washington D.C., Jennie received a Juris Doctorate degree from Marquette Law School and was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in May 2007. Over the past 10 years Jennie served as an attorney for the Department of Transportation in Washington D.C., as well as for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Manpower Group, and Johnson Controls in Milwaukee. In addition, she formed the Law Office of JM O'Malley, LLC in 2013 so that she could work directly with new clients, friends and family. Jennie was a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the University Club, and St. Monica Parish in Whitefish Bay. She was an active volunteer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Legal Aid Society and the Wills for Heroes Foundation. Jennie loved Door County and in April 2017 she and her husband purchased vacant land in Sister Bay. They were actively reviewing plans for a family vacation home. Matt and the kids will move ahead with building the home that Jennie selected, and they look forward to hosting family and friends for regular visits in the years ahead. Love love W. Love H.
