Jerry always had a no-surrender attitude. One comical thing I remember about him was his desire to move a 200 pound Indiana Hot Blast furnace through waist deep crusty snow to his hunting cabin in Necedah. It took over an hour to go 25 yards. The irony was that he never used the furnace once he moved it in.
Jerry was the greatest friend I ever had. We went hunting and fishing together for over twenty years and worked together at GE Medical Systems on Electrical Avenue. He was a great influence on me as well as young people. In the last few years he was still coming to Racine for our monthly breakfasts! We will all miss him!!
