John Cain Obituary

Cain, John M. Resident of Fond du Lac, former longtime resident of Thiensville. Passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at the age of 84 years. Devoted and loving husband of the late Marjorie Jean Cain. Beloved father of John S. Cain of Mequon, Christine (David) Carew of Fond du Lac and Linda (Daniel) Gagne of Green Lake. Very proud grandfather of Benjamin Kaestner, Jacob, Tyler (Mary), Adam and Arthur Gagne. Loving great - grandfather of Hayden James and Shelby Lynn Gagne. Preceded in death by his dear brothers Dwight and James Cain. Further survived by other relatives and many wonderful friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6 from 9 AM until 10:45 AM with the Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM at CROSSROADS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road (NW corner of Green Bay Road and Highland Road), Mequon. Another visitation will be held at the MILWAUKEE RESCUE MISSION'S JOHN M. CAIN CHAPEL, 830 N. 19 St., Milwaukee, on Thursday, June 7 from 10 AM until time of Funeral Services at 11 AM. Burial will be private for the family at Green Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha. Memorials in John's name may be directed to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. John proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. During the battle of Okinawa, John received the Silver Star for gallantry in action on the battlefield by Gen. Bradley. John graduated with Honors from the University of Cincinatti with a double major in Engineering and Business. He was a successful business owner of Cain Industries in Germantown. Mr. Cain, as I will always remember him, was a great man and more. When John Jr. was younger (I guess I was younger to) I spent a lot of time with the family and he was always fair and always showed love and understanding. It has been along time since I last saw him, but will never forget him.

I knew John through our business relationship. He is a great man who will be missed but, not forgotten. Truly someone that used his time unselfishly to do the most for others. My condolences to the family.
