John MacGregor Obituary

Longtime resident of Waukesha, died peacefully at home on Sept 12, 2005 after a short illness, at the age of 74. He was surrounded by family and friends. Son of Jean and George MacGregor. Survived by his loving wife, Joan of Waukesha, and his children, John (Sherry) of Waukesha, Julie of Naperville, Mary Jo (Steve) Choate of North Carolina and Bill (Peggy) of Waukesha; 7 grandchildren, Emily, Samuel, Jennifer, Thomas John (T.J.), Ryan, Claire and Sarah,; sister, Jean (Peter) Hagis of Philadelphia and niece and nephew, JoAnn (Daniel) Johnson and Peter (Erica) Hagis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell, Waukesha. Visitation will be Thurs., Sept 15, 2005 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, and a second visitation on Fri. from 10:30 AM until the Mass at the church. Entombment at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery immediately following the Mass, with presentation of military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Mary's Church Music Ministry, Catholic Memorial High School, Rolland D. Nelson Hospice, or to the Waukesha Catholic School System.

As a fellow parishoner of St. Mary's Waukesha, I would often see Mr. MacGregor at church and various parish functions. He would always say Hi and was always friendly.

I grew up and went to school with his son John. Best Regards.
