John Monroe Obituary

Monroe, John G. "Jack" Entered Eternal Life on September 25, 2007, at the age of 88. Beloved husband for 56 years of Laurel Monroe (nee Sprecher). Loving father of Brian (Nancy Neumann) Monroe and Beth (David) Bartkowiak. Proud grandfather of Leah (Katherine Spring), Eric and Dana. Dear brother-in-law of Dr. Jay (Betty) Sprecher and Grace Monroe. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Jack was a retired employee of American Appraisal where he had worked for 45 years. He had served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a longtime member of St. Sebastians Parish. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather with a true love for life. He will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 29, from 9:30 to 10:50 AM, at St. Sebastians Catholic Church, 1747 North 54th Street, Milwaukee, 53208, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Thompson, WI will be private for the family. Memorials in Jack's name may be made to St. Sebastians Parish.
