John Roberts Obituary

Roberts, John E. Of Shorewood. Entered Eternal Life peacefully at home Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Clara M. Roberts. Dear father of Julie (Joe) Lamp, John, Patty (Dave) Mueller, Allan (Leslie), the late Mary and the late Eric Roberts. Dear grandpa of Greg (Robin), Jenny, Jessie, Matthew, Erin, Johnny, Samantha, Jack and Kelly. Brother of Sarah Scholle. Great-grandpa of Calvin, Hannah and Almira. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at St Robert's Catholic Church, 4019 North Farwell Avenue, corner of North Farwell and East Capitol Drive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials in John's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. John was a decorated WWII combat veteran serving in North Africa and Europe. He enjoyed golfing, the north woods, hunting, and fishing and was an avid reader.
