Cant believe it has been so many years since he has passed. Seems like yesterday he and my dad were playing cards together and enjoying dinner. RIP Joe!

My father worked for 'old man Haban" until he sold the company. I remember so many of the 'characters' my dad told us about and I actually worked for him for a year after I graduated highschool. I was so happy to see the amazing field and park that he built for Racine. I will never forget the stories, the building and how grateful we were as a family that my dad had a job with friends that we all got to know. I know he passed more than 2 years ago but I thought I would let his family know that he effected my family directly and I appreciate so much what he did in his life.
God Bless You!

My father worked for Joe Haban for pretty much my whole childhood. I thought I was so cool because I knew Joe Haban of Haban Mfg. personally, especially when I'd see those huge, white letters on that big building! I lived on the Haban farm for a while and then later on the same street as him. I would always stop and say hi when I would see him outside. I later worked for him for one summer. He was always so nice to me. Many people may not know he was also the first person to take a snowmobile into Siberia! I found a picture of proof when I was cleaning out years of company records.
I hope Lisa has the peace and strength she needs. She's in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeff and I were out of town, and regret that we were unable to attend the visitation. Our sympathies to you and your family! Joe Haban was a dear friend of my Dad, Alex Barry. He visited my Dad every day, not only at his residence, but when he was in the hospital and Lakeshore Manor. My Dad really looked forward to his visits! They were in the "Lost and Found Group" together, and enjoyed many dinners, playing cards and conversation. Joe worked with my husband, Jeff Fries in the initial development of Haban Park, when Jeff was President of Racine Youth Sports. Joe's generous donation to benefit our young people will never be forgotten! Joe trusted me as a real estate agent to list and sell his home on Colonial Drive. I really enjoyed working with him. I have a vision of he and my Dad having a most joyous and long awaited reunion.
Again, our sympathies to you and your family. There will never be another Joe Haban!
