Whoever coined the phrase "He'd give you the shirt off his back" must have been thinking of Joe Sammataro. I'll always remember him as my "Uncle Joe," and that he was a truly good and decent man.

Friends And Family,
I want all of you to know my hero, Warrior, inspiration, and the best Dad anyone could ask for passed away last night at 9:00p.m. from a long courages battle with Cancer. My Dad was a true trooper and was tough guy who went through so many obstacles and loved his family and friends so much he would do anything for them. He always appreciated everyone of you for the love and prayers you all sent him during this this time when he needed it the most. During this period of his dreaded disease he fought back so many times with so much courage and toughness he was a true inspiration to me and many others how he kept a positive outlook in the face of this deadly disease and i was so to say he was my Dad. He left a legacy in which all of us will remember for along time to come.He was truly a special Man and he touched so many lives. But at 6:00 A.M. on October 4,2012 he had the nurse call to tell all the family to come down. He told he wanted to be with my late mom and wanted to let go and as the day progressed his breathing became so hard to breath that he had to take medicine to make him comfortable and at 9:00P.M. i seen him take his last breath and he looked in peace cause he now is in paradise with my Angel Mom where there reunited in Heaven and hugging and kissing and both of them will never hurt again but have happiness for eternity. Right now i am hurting so much as is the rest of the family and his friends. But with so memories of he gave all of us it makes things just a little less painful. He always thought of others all the time. The last days of his life he thought about his kids before himself. He always wanted to please and make every kid happy. Kid's just loved him, he will always be remembered as Grandpa Joe to every kid. Dad you will be missed so much and i love you with all my heart and soul and i am hurting so much inside and that pain will never go away but i am just glad you are with Mom in heaven and your smile is back on your face. I thank God to have such a great Dad and Mom. R.I.P. Dad August 21,1939-October 4,2012. You have made me into the strong Independent Man i am today! Thank You all my friendS for your support! Love You All, Mike

I'm going to miss grandpa so much. I remember every night I would give him 3 hugs and 3 kisses before I went to sleep, and I would also give him a hug and a kiss before I went to go out somewhere. Grandpa and I were so close. I love him so much, and I will never be able to get over him. He was a special person in my life. Grandpa, you are with grandma right now in heaven. I miss both of you so much. RIP Grandpa and Grandma.
