Dear Mr and Mrs Georges, Billy and Bryan and Family,
It is a very sad day, as I just learned of Kathy's passing. Please accept my very deepest condolences and sympathy on the loss of your wonderful Daughter and Sister, Wife and Mother. It has been many years since our paths have crossed, but I remember all of the Georges' family fondly and with a smile. I'm obviously flooded with memories of Ithaca College and your home on Long Island, such great times, "disappearing" at Buttermilk Falls, Beach Volleyball in the Hamptons, falling off the boat at your BML home. I can't imagine your pain, but hope that the prayers of me and my Family and positive memories of Kathy might just relieve a bit of the sorrow and hopefully bring a smile to your faces. And to Tracy P, if you ever read this, my sympathies on the loss of such a good friend. Kathy was a truly special kind of person and I always considered myself the better for having known her.
My best to all of you and as I read another comment that said "heaven got a bit brighter", and I couldn't agree more.

To Bryan, Alex, Maddie and Christopher- from the 1st day I met Kathy back in 1989... I knew she was a very special lady...from the moment I met her the Light of Christ was present... The times we spent together were always filled with laughter, smiles and fond memories that I will always cherish. She was not only beautiful on the outside but her radiance and grace shone through her smile and those sparkling eyes and adorable dimples! She had a servant heart and shared that with everyone she knew. I would like to offer my time for you, your family and friends to paint a mural at Lumen Christi this summer or in the fall in loving memory of your amazing wife and mother. Bill, you honored your sister in such a brave, loving, touching and beautiful way. Kathy, I will never forget you and you will be in my heart forever. I only knew Kathy for the last 10 minutes of her life, I was there that day of the accident. In those 10 minutes, God worked his magic one last time and touched my life through this stranger. This horrific accident will be with me for the rest of my life. God bless her family and keep them strong, you will always be in my prayers. Peace to you all!

Yesterday was a beautiful tribute to your inspiring faith-filled wife, mother, and friend. Bill's eulogy was one I will never forget, and every time I hear "Brown-eyed Girl", it will be a reminder of a wonderful lady. No one will ever know all the behind-the-scenes acts of kindness and selflessness she exuded where Lumen Christ teachers and staff were concerned. Heaven has its newest angel! Mrs. Weiss, I don't think I ever saw you without a smile on your face. You always knew how to cheer people up and you were so excited for our graduation even though none of your kids were in our grade. We missed your smile at graduation but felt your presence. You will forever be missed.

Few people have the ability to leave an indelible mark on the lives of others. Regardless of the number of years. Or the frequency of moments. Kathy was one of those rare people. I have not been in touch with Kathy since high school, yet I feel blessed for the time that our paths crossed. I think of her, and how her warmth and energy shone through her beaming smile. A bright sunny day will not pass again where I won't think that it is partly due to Kathy's bright smile shining down on us.
