Kathleen Litza Obituary

Litza, Kathleen M. (Nee Caveney ) Oh how the angels danced on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 when Kathy shed her earthly shell and traded it in for heavenly garb. This lovely Irish woman lived life to the fullest as a devoted wife, caring mother of three, proud grandma of six, and great-grandmother. Kathy was a passionate knitter whose needles were constantly clicking and an excellent baker whose delicacies were enjoyed by so many. She leaves a heroic legacy of strength, courage and humility to those who watched her fight with valor to the end. Beloved wife of Howard for 56 years. Amazing mother of Patty (Kevin), Sue (Steve), and Kathy (Dave). Proud grandma of Kyle, Josh, Emily, Joe, Michael, and Amanda. Adoring great-grandma, "Big Grandma" of Nate and second great-grandchild on the way. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorial Visitation Tuesday, December 22, at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH (7219 S. 27th St. Franklin) from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, followed by Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Mom, you are our hero.

To the Litza family,

Bev and I were so sad to hear this week of Kathleen's passing.

There are more of us on that side now than there are here. I think of the old, old family gatherings on holidays or for the spectacle weekend and everyone still young and laughing.

Most of the people from those old gatherings are together now at another gathering: the marriage feast of the Lamb of God! I'm sure they lift up our needs before the throne of grace, and keep our places with them ready for us. What a great reunion that will be!

In the mean time, we pray that you will know the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the love of Christ, and protection of God our Father.

And, we hope we get to see you all before that great reunion, but if not, we will see you all there.

As Aunt Alice would tell us, "Keep sayin' 'em!"

Our love,

Pedar and Bev Bloom

I feel so proud to have known her and shared some great laughs and good times. She was so supportive of me-always sending cards and prayers my way when I was on my journey back to new life as well as during happy, celebratory times. Often, those cards would be filled with confetti or glitter, making her impression on my heart last a bit longer...
She is indeed welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven with open arms. Her soul rests with many others who will be there to welcome us when it is our turn to make this heavenly journey. Rest in peace and comfort, dear child of God, and make sure there is space up there for us! Although our hearts are heavy with the loss of your laughter and love, we celebrate your wonderful life!
