Ken touched my life and he didn't even know me. I was in Chemistry class with him at Johns Hopkins and I remember the vitality and happiness with which he approached his work and life in general and his love for his dog. We all should try to be more like Ken

To Betsy and all the Head family: So sad to hear of Ken's losing fight against ALS. Ken was a delightful person to work with. He taught us about the many meanings of juggling and always with such good humor. Ken was just starting in real estate when I first joined Federated. "Just give him a hand" was my instruction. Never did a student speed ahead of a "teacher" faster than Ken! Also sorry to just learn of his death and to have missed the chance to offer my condolences in person.

I am so sorry to hear of Ken's death. I enjoyed working with him for so many years when Firstar Bank partnered with Cross Country Relocation. Also, my boys and I enjoyed the Heads Up Juggling Review often. I will not forget flying with him to Minneapolis for a business meeting. He had me working in the co-pilot's seat!

He taught me many things about relocation (and flying) and he will be missed.

The community has lost a great guy. Met Ken when I worked at FRG. Chose him to be my realtor when we purchased our home in West Bend. It was a joy for us, especially our 9 year old(1982) to see him juggling as we drove up. Our prayers go out to his family. Sincerely, Ben, Judy & Matt Bowater

Dear Betsy and family:
I was sorry to hear of Ken's passing.
ALS is so ugly, and I was sorry to hear of his illness.
I last saw Ken about 35 years ago, when he came through Colorado after college, but you don't forget your early years growing up. Ken was always such a positive people person - I can't even imagine the effect he's had on folks the last 35 years.
Our thoughts and prayers to the Head Family.

Betsy and all of Ken's family,

I met Ken several years ago through a mutual friend and attended the Masters tournament with him. We had such a wonderful time there that he invited me back there for the next 3 years. I enjoyed spending that time with Ken and sharing our different lives with each other. I enjoyed walking with him and going to Brewers games. I was devastated when he was diagnosed with ALS, and felt terrible when he lost his ability to take his walks. I enjoyed visiting him at hospice and wish I could have come more. Betsy, you were strong as a rock in caring for him and I know you miss him dearly. He will be missed by many people.

I have known Ken since Indian Guides and living down the street from the family on Elkhart I have many great memories of his powerful yet gentle presence. Having recently lost my sister in law to ALS my sympathies go out to Betsy and the extended family. I wish I had been closer to support his battle. Those who were lucky enough to have known him should all be thankful for the short time we had. He will be missed.

Betsy, Cory, Michael, Terry and entire Head Family,
May your memories of Ken bring smiles to your faces during the next few weeks and on...Ken was our realtor when we first moved back to Milwaukee in 1990 and sold us our very first home on the East side. His patience with young first-time buyers, as I recall, was priceless! Had the fortune of seeing him throughout the years at various "Head" functions. Fondest memory: being with Ken, Betsy and Terry at a few Packer games at Lambeau. I will never forget his smiling face peaking out through his stocking cap! That is how I chose to remember a man full of life! Rest in Peace, Ken. We adored you.....Donna and Eddie Weir

My first encounter with Ken was in World Literature in high school. He was so intelligent that I was afraid to open my mouth! Twenty years later, upon my return to the North Shore, Ken and reunited. He was a gift. Kind, helpful, funny and he demonstrated the highest level of integrity I had the privilege to experience.

Betsy and family...I am so sorry for your loss. I'm just disheartened that I didn't know about Ken's illness until 2 weeks ago. The good do die young.
