Kevin Kueng Obituary
Menomonee Falls - Passed away at home unexpectedly on May 17, 2021. He was 70 years old. Kevin was born to the late Walter and Rosemary Kueng at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Queens, New York on February 25, 1951. Beloved husband of Maria, loving and cherished father of Ben (Mohni) and Janelle (Jason) Arcila, and grandpa/papa of Rachael and Weston.
Kevin grew up in Virginia and later moved to Wisconsin, where he met Maria. He founded Olympic Painting in 1976, and successfully ran the company for 40 years, guided by superb leadership and communication skills—and reliability and loyalty to his customers and employees. Shortly before retirement, Kevin decided to drive a semi for his son-in-law Jason's trucking company. He gave it his all, learning the trade quickly and enjoying it immensely.
Kevin had an interest and natural talent for many things. He loved fishing and golf, both of which included numerous trips with family and friends. (Regarding trips, before there was GPS, there was Kevin. He was invariably called on for directions; he knew how to get anywhere and delighted in you asking). Kevin also enjoyed gardening, and managed to establish multiple perennial gardens on his property despite poor soil conditions and shade. It didn't stop there; he had a house full of thriving plants. Asked how he did it, he would reply, "you have to add a sprinkle of love." After a long day of gardening or an early Sunday morning golf game, Kevin could be found sneaking in a nap on the couch with his two fox terriers tucked in beside him. Kevin possessed a generous nature and a keen sense of humor. He instilled confidence in loved ones; his resolute belief in others generated belief in themselves. He worked hard to provide opportunities and experiences for his family. And he always said good-bye with a cheerful, "See you when I see you." Kevin will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial/picnic will be held on June 12 at 2 p.m. at the Menomonee Falls residence. If needed, please call the family for information.
