Leif Eggum Obituary
Big Bend - July 8th 1957-Nov 17th 2020
After battling cancer and complications Leif Eggum of Big Bend passed away on Tuesday Nov. 17th at the age of 63.
Survived by his beloved wife Togie, son Michael Mika, daughter Lisa (Scott). Brown Brothers Greg (Ellen) and Thor Eggum. Sister Lynn (Jerry) Haines.
Proudest papa ever to twin granddaughters Abby and Izzy Brown. Many other family and friends.
Leif is going home to reunite with his parents, Donald and Joyce Eggum, his brother Jeff, sister Joy, nephew Derek and other relatives and friends.
Leif was born at the US military hospital in Frankfurt, Germany. He enjoyed his lifelong career as a Police Officer and treasured his K-9 partner Nargo.
He enjoyed frequent road trips including crisscrossing the country with his wife and granddaughters. He was an honorary brother to the 82nd Airborne Division and leader of the Renegade Brigade.
He was a good friend to many and will be missed by all.
Services will be held on Sunday, May 23rd at 11:00am at Tichigan Lake Lions Club Civic Center
6710 Big Bend Rd (HWY 164) Waterford, WI 53185. All are welcome.
For those who wish, memorial donations in memory of Leif may be made to Wisconsin Vest-a-Dog organization.

I was a fellow police officer with Leif at the Franklin Police Dept. He did his job well and was well liked. My prayers are with his family.

Leif was a good friend of mine who I sadly lost touch with in recent years. We worked together on many law enforcement investigations, and you will never find a more dedicated and motivated officer when we were working those cases. He loved his K9 partner and they were a formidable team! I spent quite a few good times socially with Leif throughout the years, and he was the best man at my first wedding. A great friend who was quite the practical joker. May you rest in peace Leif, and know that you are missed! Togie - I'm sorry for your loss.

My cousin Leif and I always had a fun time when when our families got together. He'll be really missed.

Leif worked with me at The Town of Waterford P.D. I enjoyed working with him and always got along with him. When I retired in 2002 the chief and I and Town Board members decided to make him SGT. because we thought he would do a good job.
My sympathy goes out to his family.
